9. Identify Yourself As The Doctor (Asylum Of The Daleks)

Asylum of the Daleks was an Eleventh Doctor adventure from 2012 in which a large group of insane Daleks were going to escape from the Dalek Asylum where they were kept. The rest of the Daleks called upon their greatest enemy, the Doctor, along with his companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams, to help them to lower the defences of the Asylum so they could destroy it. After Oswin Oswald hacked in to the Pathweb - the Dalek's shared intelligence - and deleted the Doctor's identity from it, he introduced himself to them as "the Doctor". Not knowing who he was, the unarmed insane Daleks chose to eliminate him as best they could - fearing the unknown - and self-destructed in the hope that they'd kill him. As he was only speaking to them over loudspeaker and wasn't present, he didn't actually die - but they did.
