Doctor Who: 10 Factors That Should Be Included In Series 9

8. Cameo Of The Daleks

The Daleks are fundamental to the Doctor Who ethos and its legacy and that can - and will - never be changed. But on the other hand, maybe the Daleks have been shown a bit too much. Villains like the Master/Missy have not been featured frequently through the ten year run, but the Daleks have. They have opposed every Doctor, with the exception of the Eighth, and even the Cybermen have been shown less - they didn't even appear during the Third Doctor's tenure and he fought the Daleks on 4 separate occasions, including The Day of the Daleks, Frontier in Space, Planet of the Daleks and Death to the Daleks. As such, reducing the appearance of the Daleks to a brief cameo in the upcoming ninth series would probably make an interesting cliffhanger for the show. Maybe the Daleks should have a rest from trying to kill the Doctor and maybe make one of Oswin's soufflés instead.
