Doctor Who: 10 Factors That Should Be Included In Series 9

9. The Return Of Gallifrey

When Gallifrey was seen - on quite a regular basis - in Classic Who, it thankfully gave fans an insight into the personal world of the Doctor as they finally got to see his home and his people. Now with revived NuWho, the majority of its ten year run has been the Doctor living in regret and anger and misery at the acknowledgement of his own home being lost in flames. However, with the power of Russell T Davies and his twist at The End of Time and Steven Moffat's genius desire to give the Doctor one shed of hope, Gallifrey was restored. With the Moff at the helm of the show, he has given us the chance to cling on to the inevitable wait of its return with such scenes like the Time War itself, the War Doctor and his significance, the destruction (and saviour) of Gallifrey, the Doctor's lonely childhood and the Time Lords' generosity towards the Doctor. With that in mind, maybe the Doctor deserves to find his home planet and put his tormented mind to rest? As always, only time will tell.
