2. The Sixth Doctor Now Has A Definitive Ending
During the mid 1980s there was a lot of behind-the-scenes drama surrounding Doctor Who. This sadly resulted in Colin Baker being prematurely fired. Complications then arose over him coming back to film the regeneration sequence, leaving the Sixth Doctor's demise ambiguous to the audience.
A silver lining came about when Big Finish offered Colin Baker a second chance at portraying the Sixth Doctor, allowing his incarnation to flourish with a wide range of adventures, as well as evolving the character how he originally intended to do on screen. After many years of development Big Finish decided it was time that Colin Baker finally received the conclusion he deserved.
The Last Adventure was put together to be a celebration of Colin Baker's time at Big Finish, giving him four connected stories that featured various companions introduced during his audio adventures. It also saw the return of Michael Jayston as the Valeyard, granting the two of them one final confrontation before the Sixth Doctor's triumphant sacrifice.
