Doctor Who: 10 Fictional Characters The Doctor Should Meet

7. Sherlock Holmes

Doctor Who Moffat Sherlock This has probably already happened in a hundred examples of fan fiction and the fan made Wholocked on YouTube served as a great taster, but how about a proper team up? Steven Moffat is certainly up for it but grumpy old Mark Gatiss has said no. He needs to change his mind! However, do viewers need more of this modern Benedict Cabbagepatch Cumberbatch malarkey? It would be great to have the authentic Victorian version allowing the Doctor to come back to the era of Weng Chiang. Let€™s throw in Jago and Litefoot as well. Imagine how Sherlock would pinpoint the Doctor€™s life and travels from a blob of Skaro mud on his shoe or a ticket stub from a 22nd century opera in his pocket. In true fan fiction style, Sherlock could turn out to be the Doctor€™s brother/father/sister/wife, exiled from Gallifrey. Imagine the forums. It€™d literally crash the internet, like Lisbeth Salandar or Dutch Velders. Sort of.
