Remember every black day I ever stopped you, and then, and then! Do the smart thing… let somebody else try first.

Matt Smith solidified himself as The Doctor with this compelling speech. The Doctor finds himself in a tough situation as he is facing every foe he’s ever fought in the past, all trying to reach the Pandorica as they believe “who takes the Pandorica, takes the universe”.

The Doctor shocks all his foes by jumping out of hiding and showing that he is the one who has control of the Pandorica. While he taunts all of his enemies to come down and take it from him, he reminds them of every time they tried to defeat The Doctor and who it was that stopped them without fail. As we see them all run away, it is a triumphant moment which shows the power and fear The Doctor has over his enemies, painting him as the ultimate hero to the witnesses of the monologue and viewers of the show.

The Doctor stands his ground while delivering this monologue and generates fear into his enemies’ armies with just three words, causing them all to stop fussing and listen to what he had to say. This monologue shows how The Doctor can use his words as weapons, truly making him the most powerful man in the universe.
