8. The Black Death
Another seriously depressing time in our history, where a vast amount of people died. Although it could make a great story in theory, there are those fans that would not be interested in an episode such as this. Just like the witch burning, this is probably a better subject for a gruesome horror film or even simply a dramatic film. Doctor Who would do much better to stay away from this subject altogether. The Black Death is just one of those subjects that is disturbing. Once it began to spread, it caused panic, and some people blamed other people. When the blaming started, they burned the accused. It turns out the accused was innocent all the time, and the culprit had been a flea. The disease itself is gruesome, tumors that were enormous in size, about the size of an egg or bigger, and would spread from either the groin or armpits to other parts of the body and then take on the known black spots. This is something that shouldn't be seen on Doctor Who. We are looking at a fandom that is so vast, that some people would love to see it and some would despise it if they ever touched this subject.
