3. Gary Oldman
When it comes to national treasures taking the role, Gary Oldman is one that could take the character of The Doctor and pretty much do anything with him. Whether he is zany or grumpy; crazy or collected; or maybe odd or open; Oldman is an actor that can tackle any side to The Doctor and make it work like no other actor in the business today. His experience in many different roles, makes him a perfect candidate for The Doctor, as well as the fact that no one would have an idea of how Oldman would tackle the role. Would he make it his own in every way possible, possibly redefining the character for a new audience ? Or maybe pay an homage of classic Doctors such as Tom Baker & Jon Pertwee ?
