Doctor Who: 10 Big Talking Points From The Magician's Apprentice

4. Return To Skaro

Despite the Seventh Doctor destroying Skaro in Remembrance Of The Daleks (surely a prelude to the Time War itself?), the return of the Dalek's home planet was another huge moment in the episode. Made invisible to the rest of the universe, the floating space station containing Davros and the Supreme Dalek was revealed to an uncloaked part of a larger Dalek city.

A brief cameo of sorts in Asylum Of The Daleks aside, this was the first confirmation that, like Gallifrey, Skaro had emerged out of the Time War stronger than ever. Grumblings over the power ranger Daleks aside, the events established in Victory Of The Daleks led to a huge resurgence of Dalek power in the galaxy, culminating in the return of Davros and Skaro as the centre of its power base.

Is this the beginnings of another Time War?
