There's so much about even the opening two-part story that's still unknown! Yes, Maisie Williams is in it. Yes, aliens have frozen the air on Earth and Missy is helping Clara and UNIT sort that out. Yes, there are classic and new Daleks working together on Skaro as well as a small boy (probably Davros) trapped in a minefield of hands with eyes in the palms... But what does it all mean?!

More than anything else, the part that is getting fans excited is the "classic and new Daleks together" bit. Because that begs the question - when is this story set? (At least, the parts on Skaro.)

If the story takes place in Skaro's past, with the NuWho Daleks somehow going back in time within their own history, then we could be about to see a post-Genesis of the Daleks city - and that's exciting, because it paves the way for bridging the gap between that seminal story and the Dalek's first ever outing from 1963.

The one puzzling aspect of the story is the possible inclusion of a young Davros. If the boy seen in the trailer really is the creator of the Daleks, how can he be on Skaro at the same time as the famous Dalek city? The city didn't exist until after the events of Genesis - Davros lived in the Kaled dome!
