Doctor Who: 10 Most Disturbing Episodes
5. Fear Her
This episode might not be one of the show's most popular outings, but it's undoubtedly a disturbing experience whether you enjoy it or not.
"Fear Her" was a story that really changed not just the pacing but also the scale of the series by moving into a housing estate and focusing the majority of the action inside a single home. But what made it disturbing was the possessed child and terrifying drawings.
The outing told the tale of the Tenth Doctor's exploits alongside Rose Tyler to help an unlucky girl called Chloe Webber, a lonely child who can make people disappear by drawing them. Eventually, it's discovered that she has been possessed by an alien entity, giving the episode this child-friendly exorcism vibe.
While the chapter of the show itself can easily be criticised for its incredibly cheesy ending, the concept of a possessed girl who traps children in her drawings is utterly disturbing. This is brought to life, especially well, when the drawings begin to scream and beg for help.
It may not have been too well-received, but children loved it, and the episode's content was undoubtedly disturbing.
