Doctor Who: 10 Places The Doctor Has Never Visited On-Screen

7. Skaro At Peace

Despite being a key location throughout Doctor Who since its first appearance in 1963, the home planet of the Daleks has always been at war.

Used as a battleground between the native Thals and Kaleds, the Thals and the Daleks, or the Daleks and the Movellans, Skaro has never been depicted as a peaceful place.

1975's Genesis of the Daleks - an adventure set in one of Skaro's earlier depictions in the show - established that the war-torn planet hadn't always been at arms. Living in protective bio-domes on either side of the planet were innocent Thals and Kaleds who had nothing to do with the madness of Davros' war with everything inferior.

Even in the far future depicted in 1963's The Dead Planet, the Daleks had plans to exterminate the peaceful remaining Thals. With their war seemingly endless and technology regressing throughout it, it would be interesting to see an adventure set in a time of peace - either before the war or long after the Daleks have been destroyed.

With the Thals helping the Doctor defeat the Daleks in 1964's The Rescue, there would be ample opportunity for these peaceful natives to rebuild their world and receive a vist from the Time Lord who helped them years before.
