Doctor Who: 10 Reasons The Doctor Should Never Be A Woman

9. The Show Must Go Wrong

Let€™s say a female Doctor is in fact being considered. In all fairness, it wouldn€™t be the same show that billions of planets tune into every week. Imagine everything you love about it being turned inside out. Not only would it not make sense, it wouldn€™t feel right. Heck, if that were to happen, you would€™ve seen Romana go about on her own adventures. What would the Doctor have to do with anything, really? That being said, it would be an entirely different show. A spin off would be more appropriate perhaps. Something like The Sarah Jane Adventures in which a female Doctor (or Time Lady, rather) could have her own show lest it disrupt the ongoing blare of NuWho - because the show just wouldn€™t be Doctor Who. Doctor Who is about an astonishingly Earth-friendly alien around whom the world revolves. He€™s a man and there€™s nothing wrong with that. Everyone looks up to that man and everyone wants to travel with him. Take that away from him just for the sake of having a female lead and look at what you end up with? Exactly.
