Doctor Who: 10 Reasons The Doctor Should Never Be A Woman

8. Will The Shoe Fit?

A female Doctor would have huge shoes to fill. However it may seem like it would be just the same as a regular regeneration, it won€™t be that easy when it actually comes to materialise. Years and years of catchphrases and little quirks have gone into making Doctor Who as memorable as it is today and completely replacing it with a different entity altogether... well, it all sounds rather weird, doesn€™t it? It€™s mostly just a matter of how she would go about being and doing all of the things that men before her have done. Now it€™s not that it€™s impossible for a woman to compare to a man, it€™s just merely impractical. It€™s difficult to imagine an actress who could pull it off, even. Think of the massive changes that would have to be introduced just so a woman can be accommodated into the story arc. In fact, imagine a woman saying, €œAllons-y!€ or, €œHave a jelly baby,€ or €œFantastic!€ so to speak. It€™s odd and isn€™t befitting at all.
