6. It's The Doctor That Counts
Forget about everything for a moment and just think: is it not the Doctor who (geddit?) really matters? Its the Doctor who captivated you with his smarts and talents, its him that you want to see more of and its him you want to tread the universe with. Even if you want to, it cannot go about any other way because at the end of the day, you do indeed curl up on a couch in front of the television to watch the Doctor. It doesnt matter to you what he is or who he is because all of that is unnecessary. If youre a true Whovian, you wouldn't really care who he is so long as you dont forget all the people the he used to be. Hes nothing but the same person underneath, no matter what he looks like (or doesnt look like, because hes still not ginger). Surely you won't forget years of your companionship in exchange for something as trivial as a "different" regeneration, would you? Even at the end of time, itll be the Doctor who will exceed every obstacle and be the knight in shining armor. That is his sole identity and that is his name: The Doctor.
