Doctor Who: 10 Reasons The Doctor Should Never Be A Woman

3. For Whovian's Sake!

Every Whovian bitterly admit to themselves every time the Doctor regenerates is that change sucks. It€™s hard and it€™s dreadful to cope with but somehow they get by (if they don't give up just a little bit at the start of it). There are ways to walk around it but that€™s only because it€™s one change at a time and you usually have the same companion going on to help you through it. Once that€™s settled, though, having Doctor regenerate was hard enough but having him turn into a woman, then to go ahead and add a billion other changes€ How in the name of Gallifrey are you going to live with all of that?! It€™s preposterous. Empirical poppycock, to say the least. Fans just cannot withstand so much change and go ahead watching the series like nothing ever happened, not even dedicated fans in the slightest. It would be selfish and thoughtless to throw something like that at them and expect them to chug it down, immensely withdrawing from the writer-audience rapport.
