8. His Job Is Saving The World

It's practically become a punchline at this point, but Doctor Who involves a lot of stories in which the Earth is threatened with destruction. Who's there to stop it, every single time? The Doctor. Heck, he's even saved the whole of reality a couple of times. Of all the jobs in the world, be it athlete, actor, or even Prime Minister, it's not too far a stretch to say that having an occupation that entails routinely saving billions of lives is cooler. One of the long time allures of Doctor Who has been its escapism and the idea that a normal human being can be swept away on these grandiose adventures with the Doctor. Needless to say, having the weight of the universe can be a great responsibility that wears on you, but it's also pretty damn cool.
