Doctor Who: 10 Reasons You'll Never Be Cooler Than The Doctor
7. The Laws of Time Are Recommendations To Him
Doctor Who is one show that enjoys laughing in the face of continuity. A couple of examples of this include the Reapers from Father's Day that appear after the Doctor and Rose alter the past by saving Rose's father. They then never show up again, despite the Doctor's constant fiddling with the past. The Doctor even changes his own past in The Day of the Doctor by saving Gallifrey, despite the Time War being a huge part of his personal history. He justifies this by saying that he changes his personal history all the time. The laws of time seem to be pretty unbreakable for us normal folk, but for the Doctor, they are more like strong recommendations that he should think about before going ahead and doing whatever he likes.
