Starring alongside a die-hard Doctor Who fanboy, David Tennant, Kylie Minogue might not have been as big of a fan but she was more than aware of the importance of the long-running sci-fi legend.

Kylie's creative director, Will Baker, who is no relation to either Colin or Tom Baker, is also more than likely responsible for a famed photo of the pint-sized pop princess sitting reading an Eighth Doctor novel as well as using video footage of one of the show's longest-serving villains, The Cybermen in her 2007 live shows.

Around the same time, Kylie mentioned that she could be keen to appear in the BBC program, something that show-runner and ex-producer Russell T Davies who cast Minogue in the 2007 Christmas special

"Voyage of the Damned". "It is an incredible thrill to be joining David and the entire Doctor Who production for this year's Christmas special. Doctor Who enjoys a unique history and it is going to be very exciting to be a part of that."
