Comedian Bill Bailey is best known for his legendary appearances on the BBC panel show QI alongside Alan Davies and Steven Fry, who have both starred in Doctor Who. In fact, Davies was even considered for the role of the Ninth Doctor before Christopher Eccleston put his name forward in an email to Russell T Davies.

Bill Bailey appeared in the 2011 Christmas special of Doctor Who which stared Matt Smith as the Doctor alongside Claire Skinner (Outnumbered) and Alexandra Armstrong (The Sarah Jane Adventures) in the special episode named The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.

Looking back at his short time of the show Bill Bailey had nothing but happy memories working alongside his talented co-stars.

"We did a night shoot in a real forest and it looks absolutely amazing. Wonderfully light and snowy and magnificent. We had far too much fun and we were all a bit cramped. Yeah, we had a blast."
