8. The Trailer
The teaser trailer glimpsed at the end of Series 8 showed reptilian monsters rising from hospital (?) beds, a gun cocking, a wide mouth opening, a snowy blizzard, a bone-chattering rattle, the Doctor bedecked in snow and Santa Clause. It also reveals that the episode is set at the North Pole. Not much is known about the special but ample speculation can be made. Unsurprisingly the Doctor appears in distress, and he has a minuscule band of survivors around him. A monstrous threat will probably attack the base the Doctor finds himself in, and threaten Christmas as a whole. A gun cocking indicates soldiers.
