Doctor Who: 10 Things You Never Realised About Series 6 Of NuWho

10. Two Halves Make A Whole Lotta No Sense

Since the revival of Doctor Who, it had followed a pretty similar schedule. It would start up, run its course of episodes and then be off the air until the Christmas Special, then fans had to wait an excrutiating few months until the new series premiered. Series 6 started up a different schedule, which only the following series continued. Series 6 premiered on 23rd April 2011 (not counting the Christmas Special that showed a few months prior). It continued to run until 4rd June 201 before taking a break, resuming again in August and continuing on until October. This break, while short, broke the normal flow that fans expect of Doctor Who. They have grown accustomed to watching 13 episodes in 13 weeks, then waiting feverishly for the Christmas Special, only to then wait again until the next series had started. It's unknown what caused the Moff to think that breaking the series up was a good thing. Thankfully, Series 8 returned to normal, as all episodes were aired together, without a break in between.
