2. Clara And Sarah Jane Are Both Left In Scotland
Fans know that the Doctor doesn't always know where he's landed, much less how to control that landing. Over his two thousand years, he's learned how to make his trips less random, but he still makes mistakes. Maybe he likes it that way, or maybe he enjoys being a pain, but both Clara Oswald and Sarah Jane Smith were accidentally dropped off in Scotland. At the end of Deep Breath, the newly Scottish-accented Doctor leaves Clara, saying that he's off to get coffee before their next adventure. Clara realizes that she's not in London, but instead Glasgow. Meanwhile, the Doctor is distracted and is nowhere to be found. When the Fourth Doctor parts ways with Sarah Jane Smith, he's supposed to be leaving her in South Croydon, a London suburb. It doesn't take her long to realize that he's instead left her in Aberdeen, Scotland. When she meets his Tenth self, she's sure to give him a hard time about it, much like Clara does when she and the Twelfth Doctor see each other next. Maybe subconsciously, the Doctor was always interested in Scotland. Maybe his Ninth self having a Northern accent wasn't quite Northern enough? And finally...
