Doctor Who: 10 Times Captain Jack Died And Lived To Tell The Tale

8. Bang Bang

You can say what you like about Captain Jack Harkness but he's definitely not one to hold a grudge. Even his own team members have turned against him over the years and in the first series of Torchwood back in 2006, the sadistic Suzie Costello wasted no time in showing her boss what she'd really thought of him. She didn't have to use a gun to do it, though - a simple letter of complaint would have sufficed. Her attempt to kill him was thwarted, of course, when he came back to life a few short minutes later and the gunshot wound healed itself before her very eyes. Now there's something you don't see everyday. She had been working for Torchwood, of course, so she was used to all that. Believe it or not but that's not the only time one of Jack's colleagues have used his own favourite weapon of choice against him. In the Series 1 finale, End of Days, Torchwood's medical officer Owen Harper was pushed to his emotional limits when Jack refused to let him open the Rift to be reunited with his love, Diane Holmes. Owen dealt with it the only way Owen knew how - by firing a bullet into Jack's head. Well, that's certainly one way to make a point.
