Doctor Who: 10 Ways To Be More Like The Doctor
9. Get Moving - Run!
The Doctor may be a scientist and an academic, but that doesn’t mean he avoids physical pursuits. Besides running around a lot, the Doctor can play cricket and football, swim, ride, shoot a longbow and dance. His ability to do these activities so well is partly down to his Timelord biology, and several hundreds of years practice. Nonetheless, it is true that we can all benefit from getting some exercise.
There are many health benefits to regular exercise, as it reduces the risk of everything from cancer to osteoarthritis; and it can boost your mood, help you sleep and give you energy. It’s a fantastic preventative, which is possibly another reason why the Doctor barely gets sick! Like music, it can also be both a social and solitary activity.
Sports like the aforementioned cricket and archery often require a club membership, whilst something like swimming can be done alone. For a more in depth look at how best to exercise check out the NHS or equivalent website for more details. Meanwhile, there are plenty of exercise videos available online, you can go for a walk or even try a new sport in the back garden.
