Doctor Who: 10 Worst Episodes Of The Decade

10. Robot Of Sherwood (2014)

‘Robot of Sherwood’ is a silly episode, but it’s not terrible owing to the fact it was clearly intended to be.

The problem, however, is that the dialogue and the performances feel rather corny. The Doctor and Clara aren’t too bad, but Robin Hood and his Merry Men are annoying for the most part, and the Sherriff of Nottingham is nothing more than a pantomime villain who becomes wearisome incredibly quickly.

In fairness, the set designs and the costumes are commendable, and the Doctor’s fight with Robin Hood is plenty of fun. However, these elements aren’t enough to salvage the episode.

Whilst there are worse Doctor Who adventures, ‘Robot of Sherwood’ is essentially a dispensable story casual fans of the show should simply pass over.
