Doctor Who: 10 Writers Who Should Never, Ever Return
2. Russell T Davies
Forget the man who revamped Doctor Who to its current glory. Forget the man who gave colour to the Doctor as well as his companions. Forget the man who believes in a plot-centered episode as opposed to turning it into a character-centered one, like, *cough* Sherlock *cough*. Despite being invited by current showrunner Satan Steven Moffat for every series, Russell T Davies shouldn't really return. He brings magic with every episode he writes. There's a vast amount of moral intricacies and emotion involved that it's almost too wonderful. And there should never be anything that is too wonderful. Character development isn't important at all. You don't need the companions to have a life, they're just assistants that accompany the Doctor in his travels. He's only but the hero. There's nothing satisfying about having a strong female lead, either, and you've learned that the hard way with the constant Moffat/RTD comparison. It's apples and oranges.
