Doctor Who: 10 Writers Who Should Never, Ever Return

3. Richard Curtis

He had one job. He was supposed to write a single episode and he ruined it. He didn't have to make everyone cry with the touching story of Vincent and the Doctor. He didn't have to make it as magical as it's supposed to be. You don't need Doctor Who to have emotion, it€™s just sci-fi. Creativity is boring. And that is not what this show needs. It's his ability to make an episode worth a thousand words that has to do with it, if anything. His writing is just too clever for you to take in and it definitely doesn't have to make you feel better about life. It's not enough that he's a genius that he has to go on and make a tear-jerker of an episode, which is why he should just give up on Doctor Who.
