Doctor Who: 12 Things To Take Away From Last Christmas

It was a long story.

Christmas has come and gone but last night's Doctor Who seasonal special, Last Christmas, has left fans with more than enough to dissect and divulge as they await the Doctor's return to our screens in the Series 9 premiere The Magician's Apprentice next year. This episode was particularly exciting as it was Peter Capaldi's first yuletide outing as the Twelfth Doctor but it was also the tenth annual Doctor Who Christmas Special to date which is a pretty impressive milestone too. The titular Time Lord marked a decade of these festivities in the only way he knows how - by crossing paths with none other than Santa Claus himself in an adventure set in the North Pole featuring elves and reindeers and all. It doesn't get more Christmassy than that! In a nutshell, Last Christmas was a dream. The goodwill and jollity was rooted with Doctor Who's usual array of dark undertones with a crab infestation that no doubt sent many shivering behind the sofa. As Christmas Specials go, it pretty much had it all and here's a list of 12 things that fans can take away from what was one of the Doctor's most incredible and mind bending adventures to date. Just don't think about the Dream Crabs...
