Doctor Who: 14 Actors Who Will NEVER Be The 14th Doctor

Doctor Who has been back on our screens for nearly 17 years now. The very last thing it needs is to bring back David Tennant, no matter how much some quarters of the internet demand it.

We've been here before, of course. During the '90s, there were multiple pitches to bring back Doctor Who with an older Tom Baker in the title role. He was the definitive Doctor, and it was felt that he could sell the show to a wider audience who recognised him in the role.

The same is true for David Tennant in the show's 21st century incarnation. However, to return to Tennant after Jodie Whittaker sends the wrong message - that a female Doctor was a mistake, and that what we really want is the good old days back again, and to make things better we have RTD back.

Thankfully, Russell T Davies is a far more interesting writer than that, and if he's returning to the show after 13 years, it'll be to do something brand new.
