Lots of Doctor Who episodes come close to having different titles, because the writers usually ponder a few ideas before settling on the one they like best.

For example, in The Eleventh Hour's commentary, Steven Moffat mentions that he almost called the episode "The Doctor Returns", and The End Of Time is another story that briefly flirted with an alternate moniker.

According to Lyn, Russell T Davies was strongly considering using "The Final Days Of Planet Earth" as the title for these episodes, and ultimately, we're glad he didn't, because The End Of Time is a lot snappier, and just a lot better overall.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
