Okay, be honest: how many of you actually knew about this? The End Of Time is about to turn eleven years old, yet we'd wager that this nugget of information has eluded a good chunk of the Doctor Who fandom in that time.

Straight after the opening title sequence, the Doctor pays a visit to the Ood home planet. Here, he meets the Ood Elder, who shows the Doctor visions of Wilf, Lucy Saxon, Naismith, and the Master.

During the commentary, Tate tries to guess who voices the Ood Elder, and when she fails at doing so, Tennant reveals that it's none other than the legendary Brian Cox, who most viewers will recognise from his work in various big-budget movies.

Cox has another role in the Whoniverse too, playing Doctor Who creator Sydney Newman in the 2013 docudrama An Adventure In Space And Time.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
