It's impossible to talk about a Doctor Who episode without discussing reused filming locations, and The End Of Time Part One is no different.

Just past the halfway point in the commentary, Tennant mentions that the Naismith mansion scenes were filmed at Tredegar House in Newport, Wales, and in addition, he points out that the room seen behind Naismith and his daughter in the above shot is the same room featured in The Unicorn And The Wasp's dinner scene.

Note the small stone statue next to the window in both images.

Tredegar House has been used in lots of other Doctor Who episodes - such as Tooth And Claw and The Girl In The Fireplace - and it's mentioned later in this commentary too, which we'll get to quite soon.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
