Right in the middle of the episode, there's a long sequence that takes place on and around the Leadworth village green, with the Doctor meeting Rory, coming face-to-face with the man and his dog (again), and destroying his sonic screwdriver.

It's hardly the most complex scene that Doctor Who has ever had to shoot, but sometimes, it's the simple things that prove the most trouble, an annoying truth that very much applies here.

As tweeted by Moffat, the filming of this entire sequence was cancelled due to rain. After being rescheduled for a different day, it rained again. As a result, the production team was forced to cancel some of their plans for the scene, but Moffat didn't elaborate on what those plans were.

It's also hard to guess them, considering that the sequence we did get feels very much complete.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
