Doctor Who: 20 Things You Didn't Know About The Tenth Doctor

5. David Tennant Loves To Spoof Himself

As anyone who has seen the excellent Staged will know, David Tennant doesn't take himself too seriously.

Apparently, he doesn't take the character of the Doctor very seriously either, because he's spoofed him a lot.

He played a version of the character in the Ricky Gervais show Extras, where Gervais' character is playing a monster in a fictional episode of Doctor Who.

He's in a sketch on political comedy show Dead Ringers, in which former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair "regenerates" into the next PM Gordon Brown, played by Tennant.

And then there's the episode of Family Guy that came out over six years after the Tenth Doctor regenerated. Tennant plays a version of the character in a fake show called "Doctor Who Farted?"

Truly riveting stuff.
