Doctor Who: 20 Things You Didn't Know About The Tenth Doctor

18. A Lifelong Dream

David Tennant might seem like the world's coolest dad, but he's actually a giant nerd.

He's been in Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars. Pretty much the biggest, nerdiest things going. Oh, and there's also the fact that he was a huge Doctor Who fanboy growing up.

From the age of three, the star wanted to become an actor due to his love of Doctor Who. He used to carry around a Doctor Who doll as a child, and even got his grandmother to knit him a Tom Baker style scarf!

That is adorable.

His dream was realised 30 years later, when he got the call to play the Doctor just days before his 34th birthday.
