And finally, ending on the last name alphabetically, we come to Ben Whishaw.

Whishaw was my choice for Twelve, before he sadly counted himself out of the running. He's a deeply faceted actor, very clever, very cool, and would be the first openly gay actor to take the lead role in Doctor Who. He's got the old-above-his-years thing that Matt Smith had going on, but probably wouldn't play a childish Doctor; he'd be stoic, very British, and very emotive, probably.
