Doctor Who: 5 Great Seventh Doctor Stories!

4. Remembrance of the Daleks (Story 148, 1988)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCoPNLvcfzc So the Daleks. Yeah, they turned up again. Only once during the Seventh Doctor€™s era, and I€™m fine with that, since I think they€™re vastly overused. Anyhow, here they showed up in London in 1963, and the Doctor and Ace had to stop them (or possibly, aid them), in a story that not only introduces characters later spun-off into Big Finish's "Counter-Measures" series (which I rather liked), but also includes a creepy little girl who uses Force Lightning. This was a great story for continuity whores out there. It seems to take place just a couple days after €œAn Unearthly Child€ and features the Doctor going back to pick up something he€™d left on Earth. It also serves as the starting point for the Cartmel Masterplan; a series of stories that would have led to restoring the more mysterious aspects of the Doctor while making him a somewhat darker character.
