Doctor Who: 5 Great Seventh Doctor Stories!

2. Battlefield (Story 152, 1989)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug3K2Z5Z7_k The final TV appearance of the Brigadier happened here. Well, at least as far as Doctor Who is concerned. He did return in The Sarah Jane Adventures, but it was really this story that was his swansong, and it serves as a great reminder of how wonderful the character was. As an added bonus, you also get Jean Marsh, who was in Nicholas Courtney's first-ever Who appearance back in the day. It€™s a pretty great story, too, featuring pretty much the entirety of the Arthurian mythos, a brand new Brigadier in the form of Bambera, implications that the Doctor might, in another reality, be Merlin and once of the best creature masks the show ever had. It was a great glimpse at what might have been had the program but stayed on the air.
