Doctor Who: 5 Questions Raised By The Series 12 Finale

4. Why Didn't Clara See These Unknown Doctors?

'The Name Of The Doctor' saw Clara leap into the Doctor's timeline to save him from the Great Intelligence. She was scattered everywhere The Doctor had been throughout all of his lives, and even stumbled across the War Doctor- although she didn't have any direct contact with him because the Doctor had sealed those memories off from himself.

If being inside the Doctor's timeline meant Clara saw his entire life from birth to death, then why didn't she see any of his pre-Hartnell lives? Even if he no longer had access to those memories, surely they would still be present? Just because The Doctor couldn't remember something didn't mean it didn't happen; it would still be part of his timeline.
