5. The Extremely Long Gap

Everyone wants to see more of the Eighth Doctor and this is largely down to the fact that he just hasn't been given the opportunity to show off what he can really do - on screen, at least. But why such a long gap, you ask? Well, the revival of the show should have initially continued on with Paul McGann's Doctor to give him a full series in which to expand and develop his character on screen. Nevertheless, where the Eighth Doctor currently stands, with the Movie and The Night of the Doctor, he has established himself as a pretty great Doctor and one who wholly deserves another crack at the whip.
