Doctor Who: 5 Reasons Why The Eighth Doctor Has More To Give

4. The Underused Doctor

Generally the Eighth Doctor hasn't really been mentioned all that much within the confines of the show's mythology and this may be because the BBC have been trying their damned hardest to sweep the failings of the 1996 TV movie under the carpet. And who can blame them? Saying that, though, the audience think Paul McGann is worthy of more screen time and in retrospect he should have been included in the 50th anniversary episode itself rather than its preceding mini-episode. Surely that alone shows there's still plenty of appetite for more of the Eight Doctor's televisual adventures? The only problem that McGann had with his Doctor was the wig he had to wear for the film, but the less said about that, the better.
