3. A More Violent Time Lord
When did the Doctor become such a...pacifist? Both Smith and Tennant have had Doctors that refuse to carry guns or weapons, or to kill if they can help it. That's well and good, but I remember a Doctor that could karate chop an ice warrior in half. Well, maybe not. You know what I mean. The Third Doctor never hesitated to get rough, and the Ninth Doctor, too, carried a massive cannon thing around more than once. Preaching non violence is great, and doing it through a heroic type is a great way to go about it. But the Doctor is not a heroic type, not truly. I'll get into that a little more in a moment. Essentially, I just want to have a little change-up from the non-violent attitudes of recent Doctors. You can't always win without using a bit of force. It's an unfortunate sentiment, but a true one. I'd love to see an incarnation of the Doctor that was a bit more of a renegade, and less concerned with saving all the bad guys. Remember when the Tenth Doctor knocked the Sycorax off the spaceship with a satsuma (yes, that's a weird sentence out of context)? How did "no second chances" transmogrify into holding a gun against a man's head when he had just killed your daughter, and saying "I never would" by the fourth season? Oh, well. Here's hoping we could get a chopped-in-half ice warrior yet.
