4. Matt Smith and David Tennant
The 10th and 11th Doctors represent what is so brilliant about the character of the Doctor. In some ways they are both so alike; theyre wacky, quick-witted and light-hearted, and yet in others, they are so different. One is the most human of Doctors, and the other is one of the most alien. Therefore, besides Moffats writing and story and John Hurts appearance as this mysterious new character, the interaction between Ten and Eleven should make the anniversary truly exhilarating. Matt Smith and David Tennant are both such talented and diverse actors that watching them play off one another in the anniversary special will be an absolute treat. The Tenth Doctor was so human and emotional whilst the Eleventh is much more alien and clownish; watching them talk, argue and bond will be an experience only known to those who witnessed the previous multi-Doctor specials. But to many, myself included, this is a brand new experience; watching two Doctors who wed previously seen singularly, build up their characters over three series, colliding live on TV. Its like having your girlfriend or boyfriend meet your ex; the reactions are mystifying. Even watching the clip of Smith and Tennant discuss their roles in the 50th anniversary produces excitement; both are so passionate about this role and both seem to get along with each other kindly. This only encourages about how their two Doctors will come together in the 50th anniversary. There will be banter, arguments and a union which will be glorious to watch.
