Doctor Who 60th Anniversary: Predicting Chances Of Every Doctor Returning
1. The Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker)
This one is actually trickier than it seems. Though Whittaker is the current Doctor, the fact that she's expected to regenerate at the end of 2022 - a whole year before the 60th - makes us question whether or not she'll make an immediate return.
On the one hand, it's way too soon, but on the other, it's almost cruel that Whittaker is leaving when she's so close to participating in a major anniversary special. And hey, the 60th will essentially be a massive Doctor Who party, so shouldn't the first female Doctor be included in that?
Perhaps Thirteen's regeneration results in some Journey's End-style shenanigans where she turns back into herself, and the Fourteenth Doctor's first appearance is actually in the 60th? Or, maybe Thirteen's regeneration plays out as expected, and the 60th gives her a cameo from earlier in her timeline, like Matt Smith in Deep Breath.
Either way, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Whittaker join the fun, but purely because of the timing of her regeneration, we're split right down the middle on this one.
