Doctor Who: 7 Better Fan Theories On Clara Oswin Oswald

4. She€™s A Regenerated Jenny

doctor who jenny If there was ever an episode title that got the fandom excited, it was The Doctor€™s Daughter. If there was ever an episode that let the fandom down, it was The Doctor€™s Daughter. Stakes were high. Martha was back, and then there was Georgia Moffett€™s guest role €“ to paraphrase the joke that comes around every few months, it was the Doctor€™s daughter playing the Doctor€™s daughter in an episode called the Doctor€™s daughter, and she would later marry the Doctor and have the Doctor€™s daughter. Now we€™ve got that out of the way, the last minute regeneration of Jenny once the TARDIS has left was, as the fans certainly noticed, at Steven Moffat€™s behest. That€™s right, Moffat didn€™t let someone die. Shocking. Why would Moffat, noted for his long-term plots (River Song having been introduced in the same season and now just finishing up her arc) want to bring the Doctor€™s daughter back? Unless€ It covers the same sort of ground as Clara-as-a-Time-Lady, discussed earlier. Perhaps her regeneration from Moffett to Coleman went wrong and she got amnesia or dementia? It wouldn€™t be the first time that had happened post-regeneration. So what did happen to the Doctor€™s daughter, apart from marrying the Doctor and having the Doctor€™s daughter? When asked, Steven Moffat admitted that though it had been his idea to have the character live, he€™d actually forgotten about her. That explains quite a bit about Steven€™s writing method, actually€ Plausibility: 7/10 (a big fat 0 when you take Moffat€™s comments into account) Popularity: 7/10 (any excuse to make more Doctor€™s daughter puns)
