Doctor Who: 7 Better Fan Theories On Clara Oswin Oswald

5. She€™s Amy And Rory€™s Other Daughter

amy rory This theory struck me as an excellent one, as Jenna Coleman€™s first appearance (as Oswin) is in Asylum of the Daleks, where the main Amy-and-Rory plot is set off by Amy being infertile - bringing in a whole host of issues regarding Moffat and women that we€™re not going into here. The reveal of Amy€™s infertility seemed along the lines of foreshadowing, but Oswin flirting with her potential father was something that gave people pause. It was quite like River and Amy€™s interaction with the Doctor €“ snappy, quick-fire, sexual dialogue, though I€™m not sure if that€™s a genetic disposition and something that can be passed on. It€™s definitely a dominant gene if it€™s the case. Perhaps the second child of the TARDIS had DNA that was mixed around more than River€™s €“ maybe she wasn€™t part Gallifreyan, but part Time Vortex. Moffat would get his River-related twist, the fans would be happy not to get a River-related twist (except in the literal sense of the word) and then the Doctor would have another proto-Time Lady to travel with. Alas, it was not meant to be. Plausibility: 4/10 (Moffat probably wouldn€™t invalidate a statement Amy made in the same season, and it€™s a bit too close to River, without actually being River) Popularity: 5/10 (It€™s a bit too close to River, even if she actually isn€™t River)
