Doctor Who: 7 Better Fan Theories On Clara Oswin Oswald

2. She€™s Rose And The MetaCrisis Doctor€™s Daughter

rose metacrisis doctor I am delightfully indifferent regarding Rose Tyler and was vaguely annoyed to hear she€™s the only companion returning in the 50th * but my feelings on this are irrelevant. I actually thought this was a brilliant theory that would lead into the 50th anniversary. It was even foreshadowed! Oswin wears a rose in her hair in Asylum of the Daleks and Victorian Clara works at a bar called the Rose and Crown. There was also a lot of flailing over whether the car that nearly hits Clara€™s father in The Rings of Akhaten was the same in Father€™s Day, one of the best episodes of Nine€™s era and involving Rose as a teenager and as a baby. Clara€™s mother also died on the date of Rose€™s first episode, presumably in the auton attack. The child of the Bad Wolf and the Metacrisis Doctor - who knows what weird stuff her biological makeup would do? In any case, it would justify her multiple appearances and multiple lives. She got the scattering across time from Rose and the longevity from the Metacrisis. She€™s attracted to the Doctor, like Rose €“ and it€™s not incest when it€™s your dad€™s a half-human previous regeneration of your current love interest! This would have been a lovely link into the 50th and to the Tenth Doctor era. It seems like a wasted opportunity. Plausibility: 6/10 (Moffat is not a fan of Rose, apparently) Popularity: 7/10 (Would be higher, but there is a significant portion of the fandom who aren€™t exactly Rose fans.) *Who am I kidding, I hate her and am infuriated she€™s the only one coming back.
