Doctor Who: 7 Things We Knows About The Revolution Of The Daleks
1. The Doctor
From the official synopsis and New York Comic Con photos for the episode, all we really know is:
“The Doctor is locked away in a high-security alien prison. Isolated, alone, with no hope of escape.”
Jodie has been noticeably absent from a lot of the set photos from when the episode was in production. Whilst filming at the Cardiff University campus, only Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill, and Tosin Cole were spotted on the set. No real surprise when we consider how much of the episode might actually be taking place on the prison planet we last saw the Doctor on.
Fans can look forward to seeing her interact with Captain Jack in the episode, something that fans have been screaming for ever since he left the show.
"After a tantalisingly brief appearance in Fugitive of the Judoon it’s a total joy and thrill to welcome back John as Captain Jack. One of the most iconic characters in Doctor Who lore, his presence ignites this Festive Special from the start."
- Matt Strevens, Executive Producer
Revolution Of The Daleks is written by current Doctor Who showrunner, Chris Chibnall, and directed by Lee Haven Jones-who has previously worked on series 12 episodes Spyfall: Part Two and Orphan 55. No runtime has been confirmed yet, but following on from past traditions, we should be expecting sometime between the standard 45 minutes running time up to around an hour.
