Doctor Who: 8 Actors That Would Make AMAZING Doctors!

New Zealand comedian and actress Rose Matafeo may seem like an unfamiliar and unusual option to play the doctor's role, but from her humour and zany frizzy hair (much like River Song), it isn't hard to see her at the front of the TARDIS consoles.

Starring in her own BBC One series 'Starstruck', it's clear her portrayal would defiantly be a clash made in heaven between the eccentrics of Matt Smith, and the clumsiness of Jodie Whittaker, while also giving it her own rework. And even as a rising star, Matafeo has already been tipped as the Doctor, in an article by the Guardian acclaiming her for being a 'creative force in comedy,' which makes us assume her interpretation would be of a hilariously campy nature.

But the problem is, is that Doctor Who has never had a lead actor who isn't from the United Kingdom but bringing New Zealander Matafeo into the mix could be exactly what the programme needs in terms of delivering something new to the table.
